The Greven group has received an inductively-coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES). The Agilent 5800 ICP-OES will enable fast, direct, quantitative measurement of the metallic atomic species present within samples and any impurities, allowing a more complete study of the phase diagram with detailed knowledge of the doping level of samples.
